Delivery preferences
Delivery preferences are a suite of free services designed to enhance the delivery experience of your customer, providing them with advance notification of delivery and the ability to re-arrange delivery for a convenient day. You just need to provide us with your customers’ e-mail address and/or mobile telephone number when entering your shipping details. The messages can be tailored to your specification and time restrictions can be set so that text messages are only set within a particular time window, e.g. 0700 - 2200
Pre-delivery Notification
This service informs your customer the evening before the delivery date that their parcel has been despatched. When scanned at your UK Mail collection site, an email or SMS text message will hit your customer’s inbox advising them to expect delivery the following day and by what time.
An example message:
Your *Senders Company name* order reference *Customer Reference* will be delivered *Service Description* by UK Mail"
This service is only available where a mobile phone number or email address is given.
Re-arrange Delivery
This option not only informs your customer the night before that a parcel will be delivered the following day, but it then gives them the option to re-arrange delivery for up to 3 days later simply by replying to the message.
An example message:
Your *NotificationName* order *CustomerRef1* is due for delivery on Tuesday. To Reschedule Text 1=Wed, 2=Thu, 3=Fri or visit www.um-online.cu.cc quoting *ConsignmentNumber*
This service is only available where a mobile phone number is given.
Confirmation on delivery
When delivery has been successful, you will receive a text message or SMS to confirm that your parcel has been delivered. For added peace of mind, this comes complete with a date stamp and the name of signatory
